History Rolls On at the Gilbertville Depot

In 2012, the Friends of the Gilbertville Depot achieved their mission to save their historic depot. Since then, as Dick Dewater explained in this interview, they have preserved and improved the depot, once a stop on the Waterloo Cedar Falls & Northern Railway (WCF&N). Now, the area is part of the Cedar Valley Nature Trail, one of the oldest recreational trails in Iowa.
