The mission of the Morgan E. Cline Foundation is to fulfill our founder’s vision of fostering viable and thriving communities in and around Appanoose County, Iowa by collaborating to provide resources and professional support to local charitable organizations.

No formal grant application form and no submission deadlines. Any grant awarded will require an acknowledgement from the recipient that the funds will be used exclusively for charitable purposes and will be required to submit proof of 501(c)(3) status. It is intended that awardee organization be located in and around Appanoose County, Iowa. We support organizations with: 501(c)(3) status that are also 509(A)(1) or 509(A)(2) public charities; churches, hospitals, schools, or governmental agencies like fire departments or public libraries undertaking charitable activities or tax-exempt organizations that are 509(A)(3) organizations. As special rules apply to some of these types of organizations, it is important that they contact the Foundation to learn more about their eligibility.
Focuses on giving in and around Appanoose County, Iowa.
Adheres to four main areas: community and economic development, historic preservation and redevelopment, seniors and healthcare, and culture and the arts. Funding is awarded annually with a call for letters of inquiry typically going out in August each year.
