Description

Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) invites you to an overview presentation and workshop of the Guidelines & Principles Program for Nonprofit Excellence in Nebraska and Iowa. This session will go over common questions that arise from the Guidelines and Principles and give you the opportunity to receive individualized assistance.

The Guidelines and Principles for Nonprofit Excellence provides training and state-specific tools for evaluating regulatory compliance, enhancing strategic planning, and refining operational evaluation. The presentation will discuss:

  • The G&P Assessment – Learn how to create action plans for your organization using the Guidelines and Principles.
  • G&P References & Resources – Learn how to increase your skills and understanding in 12 areas of nonprofit management with this companion to the assessment, which includes compiled and vetted research, resources, and sample documents.
  • Best Practices Partnership – Learn how you can gain recognition for your organization’s commitment to best practices.

Trainer:

Matt Martin, Director of Programs at Nonprofit Association of the Midlands. 
Matt Martin has spent 30 years in the nonprofit community, focusing on issues as international as nuclear weapons nonproliferation and as local as city transportation. Throughout his career, Matt has engaged a wide range of audiences, from national policymakers and local civic groups to community college students and international media. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, building furniture, and riding his bike.
