Theisen's More For Your Community Grants

The Theisen’s More for Your Community corporate grant program annually makes grants to all Theisen’s store communities. The program grants to agencies that most effectively, directly serve the basic needs of families and children, which includes food, shelter, education, safety and health.

Application Deadline 

Theisen's More for Your Community Grant program is part of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. Create an account in the online grant management system on the Theisen's page. All open Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque grants are listed in this system.

Applicants must be within 60 miles of a Theisen's store. View a list of stores. Create an account to apply for this grant. Please email Angie Wille, Grants Coordinator or  telephone 563.588.2700 to discuss how your project fits the basic needs of the community.

Applications open July 15 of each year.

Giving for Good Grant Request: Identification of nonprofit organization applying for funding; description of project including funding details, timeline; and goals of project; description of the problem or opportunity the project is addressing. 

Through our Giving for Good Sponsorships and Impact Grants we support nonprofits and community partners in four major categories:

  1. Hunger and Housing
  2. Workforce Readiness
  3. Environmental Stewardship
  4. Diversity, Safety and Wellbeing

Mansfield (Wesley & Irene) Charitable Foundation

Giving primarily for higher education, including educational foundations.

Application Deadline 

General guidelines:

A) Grants are only made to nonprofit organizations or governmental entities.

B) The focus of the Mansfield Foundation is to support the communities of Belle Plaine and Tama, Iowa and Albion, Nebraska.

C) Applications need to be received by May 15 to be considered for acceptance.

D) If awarded, grants are generally disbursed in July of each year.

Information about the applicant entity:

  • Name, address, city, state zip; contact name; phone;  email
  • Is the applicant a governmental entity? Yes / no
  • Is the applicant a nonprofit organization? Yes / no.
  • If you are a nonprofit, attach a copy of your IRS determination letter or a copy of your most recent form 990. If you are a nonprofit, attach a list of your governing board.

Application Deadline 

The Grant Guidelines web page has information for qualified nonprofit 501(c)(3) public non-profits and governmental entities in the communities where Pella Corporation maintains manufacturing plants. These entities are invited to submit grant requests. Proposals should address one or more of the priorities outlined in the Foundation’s Purpose. Requests are reviewed semi-annually with proposals due May 1 and November 1 of each year.
