Looking for information about an exempt organization? Use the Tax Exempt Organization Search (TEOS) tool on IRS.gov. TEOS is the primary source for publicly available data on tax exempt organizations. Find information about an organization’s tax-exempt status and filings or download data sets with information on organizations by state or region. The data sets are updated monthly. The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) recently awarded $925,000 in Main Street Iowa Challenge Grants to 10 communities. The grants help redevelop or rehabilitate underused buildings on Iowa’s historic main streets and stimulate economic growth. Projects include renovating an original façade and revealing historic windows, rehabilitating buildings to create retail space or housing, and enabling existing businesses to expand into historic spaces that were previously unusable. Since 2020, more fundraisers have worked remotely or have adopted hybrid schedules. A recent article in the Chronicle of Philanthropy--Remote, Hybrid Fundraising Teams Help Nonprofits Hire, Retain Top Talent--suggests that flexible work schedules could help nonprofits retain fundraising talent.
