The foundation supports organizations involved with arts and culture, education, health, human services, and low-to-moderate income individuals. Support is given primarily in areas of company operations.

Organization was established to assist orphans. Pursuant to court order, the organization distributes funds to public charities and governmental entities and subdivisions to assist and benefit children. The organization has no other purposes or activities.

The Donaldson Foundation considers grant applications in two key areas: Education at all levels and organizations focused on assisting the transition towards economic self-sufficiency.

The Trust's sole program consists of payment to or for benefit of low-income citizens of the city of Grinnell. Payments are made directly to the citizens of the city of Grinnell and to organizations and individuals providing services to specific citizens such as grocery stores, taxi services,...

To provide private support to projects found acceptable by the trustees.

Giving primarily to a botanical garden, educational institutions, and the arts.
