Have you dedicated your career to making the community a better place? Improving people’s lives? Sitting in a broken desk chair so there’s more funding available for programs? If so, you’re a unicorn—one of the amazing people who make up the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. Whether you’re from a nonprofit, the government, a foundation, higher education, AmeriCorps, or a mix of these, this event is for you.
The keynote speaker is Vu Le who, with Jessamyn Shams-Lau and Jane Leu, authored the book, “Unicorns Unite: How Nonprofits and Foundations Can Build Epic Partnership.” He will share his ideas for new ways of working together then spend the day in fun and interactive activities designed to spur relationships, challenge thinking, and launch a new era of collaboration for Iowa’s future.
Partnering with the Iowa Campus Compact on this event are the Iowa Council of Foundations, the Larned A. Waterman Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center, and the Cedar Valley Nonprofit Association.
