Public Trust and Nonprofits: Where do we Stand?
Event Category

Trust in nonprofits is vital to our work to build healthy and equitable communities. But that trust is being tested too often. As the midterm elections near, COVID-19 persists for the third year, and the push for racial equity and a healthier environment continues, what is our prognosis on trust regarding our nation’s more than 1.8 million nonprofits? How can our nonprofit sector build more trust?

How do income, education level, age groups, race and ethnicity, and political affiliation affect this coveted currency in civil society? How does the level of trust in the nonprofit sector compare to trust in other sectors, including business, government, and the news media? How does public trust in philanthropy differ from nonprofits? And what can we do to protect or increase the public’s trust?

Join Independent Sector, Edelman Data & Intelligence, and nonprofit leaders for this free, one-hour webinar to discuss findings from the 2022 Independent Sector Trust in Civil Society survey. In addition to hearing what nonprofits are experiencing, we’ll provide in-depth analysis of our new findings, examine trust gaps, and offer ways to use this data to help nonprofits better achieve their missions and strengthen the health and impact of our sector.
