*Nonprofit Lobbying: Rules and Practices for State and Federal Law
Event Category

This is the second in a series of three webinars on topics related to policy advocacy offered by the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM), Nebraska Civic Engagement Table (NCET), and the Coalition for a Strong Nebraska (CSN).

NAM, NCET and CSN are organizations that each provide distinct services for Nebraska’s nonprofits. We partner to ensure we maximize our training and education resources to fuel our common interest in developing the policy advocacy skills of Nebraska’s nonprofits. Together, we have greater capacity to coordinate collaboration among nonprofits, and the ability to address broader goals such as changing the poverty narrative, improving access to the legislative process, working to remove barriers to more participation, strengthening relationships with policymakers and engaging the voices of those with lived experience.

Join this webinar to learn about:

  • Nonprofits can and do lobby – advocacy v. lobbying
  • Federal law and state law
  • Nebraska – How to register and track lobbying – Rules, reports, 501h
  • Politics and elections

Presented by Laurie Ponce, Director, CSN and guests
