Lean Concepts and Tools for Service-Oriented Organizations
Event Category

Presenter:  Robert Olinger, Owner and Lead Trainer, A+ Talent Development

The application of Lean principles and tools has grown in service-oriented organizations including medical, government, higher education, and nonprofits. The foundation of Lean, respect for people, is a natural fit in the service industries. This session provides information about Lean and the tools that nonprofit organizations can use to improve value delivery to stakeholders.

Objectives:

1. Define value from the stakeholder’s perspective.

2. Make the invisible, visible through process mapping.

3. Improve synchronized flow by reducing waste.

Recommended that participants bring any procedure manuals, process maps, or forms they routinely fill out.

Please note that ATDU sessions are offered at no charge to employees of Central Iowa non-profit organizations. Space is limited. If you are unable to attend the class, please cancel your registration as soon as possible so people on the waiting list can attend.
