Volunteer Iowa hosts this virtual session on engaging youth and youth voice in service days. This session will prepare nonprofits and schools with necessary knowledge and ideas for creating service day activities within their communities. We will focus on involving youth in the planning and execution of service day projects and offer general advice on creating service day projects. By the end of the session, attendees will be prepared to launch service day projects for 9/11 Day of Service, or enhance their existing programs to incorporate more youth voice.
The first 45 minutes will be an informational session and the last 15 minutes is optional for participants to flesh out service project ideas with our staff.
The session will use Microsoft Teams.
