Session is 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Open to staff, board members, volunteers, and national service members of organizations who want to become better skilled at preparing for and managing state and federal grant opportunities.
Covers key concepts such as:
- Evaluating the grant opportunity
- Preparing your organization to apply
- Understanding the award and negotiating final terms
- Performing the work of the grant
- Handling the administrative requirements
- Properly closing out the grant and planning for sustainability
The trainer will engage participants in hands-on activities and Volunteer Iowa staff will share upcoming funding opportunities through the agency.
Lunch is on your own.
