A panel of five legal professionals will present issues related with attorney service as nonprofit board members. They will survey the fiduciary duties, professional rules, and ethical issues arising from board service and will review common scenarios, as well as potential pathways to navigate issues of competence, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and more. The session has been approved for 1.00 CLE hour and 1 hour of Ethics.

The session will be offered in person in Levitt Auditorium at the Boyd Law Building in Iowa City, Iowa. Participants may also join by Zoom, however, the session will not be recorded.
A presentation preceding this will be given from 2:00-3:00 p.m. addressing the topic Nonprofit Law in Iowa. Persons may register for either or both. There is no charge for either session.
