Creating Safe, Equitable & Thriving Communities (SET) Fund Grant Deadline
Event Category

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation announces a grant opportunity for nonprofit organizations working toward creating a safe, equitable, and thriving Linn County. Applications will be accepted through Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. CST.

For this grant opportunity, the Community Foundation will accept applications from nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) status. Applications should be submitted via email to casey.baustian@gcrcf.org.

The Creating Safe, Equitable & Thriving Communities (SET) Fund was established in 2018 as a partnership with the City of Cedar Rapids, Linn County, and the Cedar Rapids Community School District to address inter-relational factors that lead to youth violence in Cedar Rapids. The goal of the fund is to improve community safety by strengthening economic, social, and academic conditions for youth and neighborhoods. In recent years, a collaborative effort among community partners has focused on implementing the Group Violence Intervention (GVI) strategy developed by the National Network for Safe Communities to focus on reducing gun violence specifically.
