The IRS has announced three revisions to the 1023-EZ form. A text box has been added to Part III for a brief description of the organization’s mission or significant activities. Questions about annual gross receipts, total assets, and public charity classification are now on the form. Question 29 now requires that an automatically revoked organization applying for reinstatement must seek the same foundation classification as at the time of automatic revocation to be eligible to use the form. See the Instructions for Form 1023-EZ. The 1023-EZ user fee remains the same.
