The foundation supports higher education, including programs designed to strengthen the skills of future newspaper and broadcasting professionals, youth agencies, cultural programs, health services, and a community fund. The foundation is also interested in projects designed to improve the environment for persons living and working in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, community.

2004: St. Lukes Health Care Foundation, Inc., $5,000; United Way of East Central Iowa, $60,000; Englert Civic Theater, $2,000 prior to 2004: Grants in the range of $200-$44,000 have been given for building campaigns, general funds, symphony kids project, capital campaigns, SKATE program, scholarship program, newspaper seminar fund, agricultural education, Partners at Work campaign, new technology lab, renovation project, annual campaign, and designated charities.
