Grant Information

Application Deadline

The Community Foundation of Johnson County Emergency Response Grants Program will support nonprofit organizations, schools, or units of government serving Johnson County residents who are experiencing increased demand for their services and/or have had their operations adversely impacted by the COVID-19 (corona virus) pandemic.  Given the unique nature of this unprecedented event, grant applications that focus on immediate needs will be prioritized.

Application Information

Applications are submitted via our online grant system. Applications will be reviewed, and funding decisions made on a rolling basis, as quickly as possible.

Grant decisions are made by the Community Foundation’s Granting Committee.  As needed, guidance about Johnson County’s critical needs will be sought from Johnson County’s Community Organizations Active in Disasters (COAD).

Grants cannot be made to individuals; aid to individuals will be done through nonprofit organizations with established processes for determining need.

If funding allows, requests for support of mid-to-long term recovery and rebuilding efforts after COVID-19 will be considered later.
