Igou (Carrie & Oren) Scholarship Trust

Scholarship awards to graduates of Northwood-Kensett High School, Worth County, Iowa.

Application Deadline 

The Trustees select an outstanding student or students in the senior class at Northwood-Kensett High School taking into account both merit and need.

The Trustees shall award an amount to the said students for their first year of college or vocational-technical schooling, provided the student maintains a scholastic record which is deemed by the Trustees to merit a continuation of the award.

In order to be considered for an Igou Scholarship, each interested senior will need to complete the application and return it to the high school guidance counselor, by no later than April 1 of the year in which the award(s) is made.

Emerson (Harland & Genevieve) Foundation

One of the purposes of the foundation is to award educational scholarships and loans. When the students' education is complete, the loans are to be repaid. This makes the money available again for future loans.

Application Deadline

Students may submit an essay describing and/or giving examples of their a) character, b) intelligence, c) desire to finish higher education. Students must submit high school and college transcripts. They must also submit an application annually including a financial statement of the applicant's parents if they are a dependent and three years tax returns of parent and student. 

Mansfield (Wesley & Irene) Charitable Foundation

Giving primarily for higher education, including educational foundations.

Application Deadline 

General guidelines:

A) Grants are only made to nonprofit organizations or governmental entities.

B) The focus of the Mansfield Foundation is to support the communities of Belle Plaine and Tama, Iowa and Albion, Nebraska.

C) Applications need to be received by May 15 to be considered for acceptance.

D) If awarded, grants are generally disbursed in July of each year.

  • Is the applicant a governmental entity? Yes / no
  • Is the applicant a nonprofit organization? Yes / no.
  • If you are a nonprofit, attach a copy of your IRS determination letter or a copy of your most recent form 990. If you are a nonprofit, attach a list of your governing board.

Interstates Foundation

Application Deadline 

Interstates Foundation scholarship application form should be used.  Information should include: name, address, telephone number, and email address. Also required: 1.Letter from specified educational institution stating that you have been or will be admitted; 2. Letter of recommendation from an educator or superior who is familiar with your qualifications; 3. Essay about yourself, your goals, and why you should receive this scholarship.

Applications must be received by March 31. 

Hulton (Phyllis Perry) Educational Trust

Scholarship awards to graduates of Marshall County, Iowa, high schools.

Application Deadline 

Applicants should submit name, social security number, high school from which applicant graduated, and college or technical school applicant plans to attend. Include high school transcripts and financial  plans.

Applications are due by April 1 of the school year commencing in September. Applications become available in January.

Application Deadline 

The Grant Guidelines web page has information for qualified nonprofit 501(c)(3) public non-profits and governmental entities in the communities where Pella Corporation maintains manufacturing plants. These entities are invited to submit grant requests. Proposals should address one or more of the priorities outlined in the Foundation’s Purpose. Requests are reviewed semi-annually with proposals due May 1 and November 1 of each year.
