Nearly 75 million people make up the Millennial generation in the United States. What is known as the Great Transfer of Wealth is shifting from older to younger generations, and that includes millenials. Millenials represent an untapped resource for nonprofit organizations. Holly Hull Miori, PhD will discuss this trend at AFP's January program. 

About the speaker:

Holly Hull Miori has a nearly twenty-year career in fundraising and foundation work. She has raised funds in higher education, healthcare, arts and human rights, and Holocaust education. She serves as the Senior Director of Development at The University of Texas at Dallas for the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies and the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology. Holly earned a bachelor’s degree in both religion and communication arts from Austin College in Sherman, TX and received her master’s in theological studies from Brite Divinity School at TCU. She also holds a Master’s in Public Affairs from UT Dallas and completed her PhD in public affairs in 2021 where she focused on millennial philanthropy. She is the author of the book Millennial Philanthropy: Next Generation Fund Development for Professionals and Nonprofits published in 2023 by Palgrave MacMillan.
